AGP Arms has entered their side folding kit for the Charger™ 22 Takedown. The kit begins with the familiar AGP Arms pistol grip Gen 2 stock and handguard teamed up with a new billet folding adapter. This 6061 billet adapter incorporates a mount for the Takedown barrel and threaded for the AR style pistol tube 1-3/16-16 threads. The adapter is a push button latch and folds to the right side.

The Kit comes standard with the pistol grip Gen 2 stock, handguard with 2 Picatinny rail attachments, and the billet aluminum folding adapter. 

Optional Rear Tube: We designed our adapter to use a standard AR style pistol tube, so feel free to grab any one from your closet and thread on, or order from your favorite online supply house.  If all you need is a tube to support a stock, you'll be just fine with any old tube.  However, we want to note something about the tubes available everywhere and why we recommend purchasing an AGP rear tube.  One shortcoming with the readily available tube is that they are nonconcentric.  Because our tube area is a perfect storage compartment, we wanted to offer a concentric tube, and one that is exact and will fit a 1.00" OD or less suppressor.  You won't be able to slide in your suppressor with your (insert name here) pistol tube.  Buy AGP's tube, it's inexpensive and it's concentric. 1.250" OD x 6.50" Long.

Gear Head Works Tailhook Mod 1.  We have a custom tube (concentric, see above) that has the proper diameter at the end of the tube to fit the Mod 1.  This is a great option and since it's concentric, you can fit your 1.00" suppressor inside. 1.25" OD x 8.25" Long. The Mod 1 is made from billet aluminum, then anodized finished and can hinge to give a comfortable press to your forearm.

***Gear Head Works Tailhook Mod 2.  This one is a little more tricky to explain.  Why should you purchase a Tailhook Mod 2 from AGP?  We must modify the Mod 2 to comply with ATF's length of pull requirement for brace kits.  The Tailhook Mod 2 is an awesome adjustable length brace, however in factory form it will lock just longer than 13.5", which none of us want.  We re-machine the locking adjustments so that the brace only locks into legal LOP, strip, anodize and reassemble for perfect fit an finish.  Also, in that re-machine stage, we turn the tube section concentric.  (Does anyone else sense a theme)?

AGP Arms chose to use the Gear Head Works Tailhook Mod 2 to complete the ultimate bug-out gun. The telescoping feature was incorporated for the purpose of captivating the takedown barrel in the locked position. By telescoping out, the barrel can then be removed and attached to the gun. Without needing to depress the telescoping button, it shortens and locks into place at that locked final shooting position.

Select all the options from us, it will save you a headache shopping around, and frankly this is a really nice piece.  Option it out with some really nice components.  This is truly the most compact .22 LR setup that fits in any small bag or tactical gear.

Handguard Size Option: The options include standard tapered barrel that comes on most 22 Charger Takedowns, or for the new Charger LITE with the .920 OD barrel.

Add Suppressor Plug:  This is the 1/2-28 plug that holds your suppressor and allows it to slide into the rear tube area made from billet 6061 and anodized black.  When using a concentric rear tube, this allows you to fit any 1.00" or less suppressor. Keep all your components all wrapped up nicely in our package.

The following list of suppressors fit in our tube setup. We are certain there are more that will fit, please let us know if you have confirmation of another suppressor that fits. Our tubes measure 1.00” so anything smaller than that dimension will fit. Likewise, anything larger than 1.00” will NOT fit. Suppressors measuring 1.06” or larger do NOT fit.
