AGP Arms has entered the Pistol Brace world with their side folding kit for the Charger™ 22 Takedown. The kit begins with the familiar AGP Arms pistol grip Gen 2 stock and handguard teamed up with a new billet folding adapter. This 6061 billet adapter incorporates a mount for the Takedown barrel and threaded for the AR style pistol tube 1-3/16-16 threads. The adapter is a push button latch and folds to the right side. AGP's rear tube is designed to fit 1" or less diameter suppressors inside of it.

The Brace Kit comes standard with the pistol grip Gen 2 stock, handguard with 2 Picatinny rail attachments, and the billet aluminum folding adapter.

Optional Rear Tube: AGP's tube is inexpensive and it's concentric. 1.250" OD x 6.50" Long and will fit your 1" suppressor. Many of the AR pistol tubes will not.

Select all the options from us, it will save you a headache shopping around, and frankly this is a really nice piece.  Option it out with some really nice components.  This is truly the most compact .22 LR setup that fits in any small bag or tactical gear.

Handguard Size Option: The options include standard tapered barrel that comes on most 22 Charger Takedowns, or for the new Charger LITE with the .920 OD barrel.

Add Suppressor Plug:  This is the 1/2-28 plug that holds your suppressor and allows it to slide into the rear tube area made from billet 6061 and anodized black.  When using a concentric rear tube, this allows you to fit any 1.00" or less suppressor. Keep all your components all wrapped up nicely in our package.

-------------------------

The following list of suppressors fit in our tube setup. We are certain there are more that will fit, please let us know if you have confirmation of another suppressor that fits. Our tubes measure 1.00” so anything smaller than that dimension will fit. Likewise, anything larger than 1.00” will NOT fit. Suppressors measuring 1.06” or larger do NOT fit.

Great Addition for a Suppressed Charger Takedown

Posted by Joe Oswald on 4th Sep 2020

Installation was incredibly easy, and fit and finish of this product is fantastic. Note that tolerances are extremely snug, so the button to release the folding stock will be very hard to press at first, but it'll break in once you work it for a bit. Same goes for the suppressor plug and brace tube. At first my 1" suppressor wouldn't go in all the way and was binding about 4-5" in, but after working if a little it went in and now it's no problem at all. Added a Primary Arms ACSS 22LR and Aero Precision extended mount and I'm off to the races.

ruger charger 22 brace full kit

Posted by Lucas on 4th Sep 2020

Awesome high quality machining and fitment. This completely transforms the charger into what it was always meant to be. I spoke to Bill on the phone and he was very helpful and informative. Despite material and tool shortages AGP was still able to deliver a high quality product with great service. Thanks guys!

Great Concept (and Design?), Poor Execution

Posted by JD on 27th Aug 2020

I loved the idea of a minimalist package for a 10/22, and I came across the AGP Arms offering while researching 10/22 ammo and watching some of 22 Plinksters Youtube videos. I ordered one of the AGP Arms Modular Brace Kits a while back, and eagerly anticipated it for some time. When it finally came in, I was pretty disappointed with the fit and finish. AGP Arms products seem to be gaining in popularity quite rapidly (kudos to them), but perhaps they are experiencing some issues ramping up their production. On a positive note, I did appreciate that the brace kit felt solid; it wasn't rubbery in texture or density as I had somewhat anticipated. Also, the folding mechanism/barrel receptacle was aluminium(?) and not polymer. Beyond that, I don't have too many positive things to say. First off, a lot of the finish on the brace kit seems rough. There are places where the two halves don't line up perfectly, loose bits of thin polymer hang off here and there as you might expect from a cheap Chinese-made toy, and there are needlessly sharp edges all over the place. In terms of fit, the production tolerances seem to be too lax. I basically had to apply a bending-type force to the brace kit/folding mechanism in order to get it too lock into place. I had the same issue going the other way - I basically had to bend the chassis/brace before even attempting to depress the button to unlock the folding mechanism. I was excited by the prospect of packing down my 10/22 and storing it away in a small package, and I opted for the storage plug to pair with the concentric storage/pistol buffer tube. I have a Gemtech Suppressor that fits (or should fit) in the tube for storage. I gave it a go and started to slide the suppressor into the tube. The first half went in fine, but I could hear/feel the scraping as the front of the suppressor started to reach the back of the tube - the back portion of the tube was either non-concentric or simply not properly machined/smoothed. Now my suppressor, which costs more than this brace kit, is scratched to $*%$#(. I really wanted to like this brace kit, but I'm already noticing and experiencing all sorts of issues with the fit and finish, and I haven't even tried to put it on my 10/22 yet.

    Best aftermarket component ever

Who doesn’t want a side folding brace or stock on anything physically possible?!? If you’re anything like me of course you do. For the price, the high quality (cannot overstate the quality...) and just over all awesomeness. Got guns? You need AGP Arms.

Good product but could use some some post processing work

The product was as promised but my only complaint is that the plastic is very sharp edges, I'm guessing due to the molding.

    Charger 22 adaptation

Posted by Michael Heath on 23rd May 2020

I was super impressed with the level of customer service offered to me by AGP Arms. My order took a little while and Ben got back to me immediately, explaining what was going on--top marks for communication. When I got the new chassis for my Charger, it fit perfectly and works really well. Nicely modified! I would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of upgrading their standard Charger set up.

Awesome product! Tight tolerances. Product exceeded expectations! Suggestion: include picatinny rail under hand guard for mounting angled grip.
