This is a conversion kit to make a Takedown 10/22® or 22 Charger Takedown out of your fixed barrel Ruger® 10/22® or fixed barrel Charger. This kit will NOT work on a Factory Ruger 10/22 Takedown® model rifle or Charger.

The heart of this system is our custom stainless 16" 1:12 twist barrel that is ¾ lb lighter than factory and threaded 1/2-28 to add your favorite muzzle device. The barrel works hand-in-hand with our quick release, return to zero adaptor. This system is engineered so no tools are needed to remove or re-install the barrel in just seconds, and with a front iron sight installed it will remain sighted in to a receiver mounted optic.

We have many options you can add:

The stock is a push button latch, right side folding assembly. Constructed from injection molded glass filled Nylon, it's very strong while being super lightweight. With the barrel removed, the folded stock/receiver assembly is very compact at under 11" long. Everything can easily fit into any backpack, duffel bag, small RV cabinet, boat, bush plane, daypack, kayak, under a seat, in a spare tire well, etc. The possibilities are endless.

The length when folded with the 16" barrel is 24.75

Standard parts before options include:

16" Stainless Threaded Barrel
7.25" Stainless Threaded Barrel (This is to be used on a Charger 22 with a brace or an SBR)
Quick release barrel takedown adapter
Knurled nut instead of handguard

    Absolutely Great !!!!!!!!!!!

Got the kit on Friday and installed it. Shot it on Sunday. Easy to install. Accurate with "trash" ammo. Golden Bullets, some about twelve years old. This kit is light and solidly built. Worth every penny and more. Wish I had known about this kit long ago.

    Outstanding!

Got my AGP take down kit in two days, I love this gun! Transformed an old beater 10/22 into light beautiful gun, and one ragged hole at 50yds. Taken down it fits in the center console of my pick-up truck! This truly is a great value.

I received my AGP Arms take down kit with the stainless Barrel, Flash Hider and Black Aluminum hand-guard just 3-4 days after placing my order with AGP Arms, and this is after there was a bit of a shipping issue and they had to contact me, as usual, these good folks are lightning fast and provide incredible customer service, I would like to give a personal Thank you to both Kevin and Courtney whom I have communicated with through email and over the phone. On to the Kit, As usual, every piece in the Take Down System is incredibly well made, flawless in finish, and tight in tolerances. I have observed a substantial tightening of my groups since switching from the factory barrel, and my rifle stays zeroed even after completely taking the rifle down to clean the barrel, Which is a joy by the way, compared to trying to clean a traditional 10/22 barrel still mounted to the receiver. I would also like to note that the stainless barrel really is a thing of beauty, and along with the stainless KIDD Innovations trigger I run, adds just the right amount of shine to my otherwise blacked out rifle.

    Great product

this is a very well made product. It is very easy to put together It only took about 10 minutes once i cleaned and lubed the barrel. I have put about 200 rounds through it so far with no issues, Im looking forward to having this setup in my collection for a very long time. one thing that is not mentioned in the product info section is that the stock comes with a quick detach sling mount hole in the stock right behind the folding release button and also one at the very end of the but stock so you can easily mount a sling up to it.

Having converted my breakdown to the AGP folding stock, I wanted to convert my "regular" 10/22 as well. I ordered the dark earth this time, and for whatever reason, the seam on this one was as fine as good be, there was nothing rough anywhere for me to piddle over. I decided to save a little cash and order the black handguard and uncoated barrel, and paint them myself. It turned out really nice, only time will tell how durable this is. Doing all this to the 10/22 must have shaved more than two lbs from the original wooden-stocked/wide, flaring barreled gun, which is wonderful for backpacking. My gun now weighs 4 lbs, 1.6 oz without a magazine. It will weigh a bit more with the Burris red dot I will be installing shortly. Finally, I have to say I like AGP's method of breakdown BETTER than Ruger's I simply didn't know AGP had created their system some time ago, before Ruger. I can't wait to get an old dog of a Ruger for cheap and fix it up with the TakeDownOptions kit. It's a completely new, different gun. Kudos.

    Truly impressed.

This is so cool... I bought the AGP Take Down Kit and I don't even have a 10/22 to install it on... yet! I do have Ruger's factory 10/22 Takedown so I'll be getting AGP's folding stock for it as well. I'm not easily impressed but this a quality product. I'll be ordering the options I left off my first order, specifically the front and rear sights, and the flash hider.

    As advertised.

I was looking for a 22 rifle that Icould stow in my truck, and I already had a 10/22. So I ordered up a kit w/stock, and the 6" aluminum tube. The kit arrived. Upon studying the contents, it's amazing somebody didn't think of doing this sooner. The free float tube was even painted to match (nice). Some things to consider: 1. The 1" buttpad is necessary, it's a short LOP. 2. I've got a 32mm objective scope on it and it needs high or extra-high rings to clear the tube. It holds zero, will bust clay pigeons @50yds with boring regularity using bulk ammo, and all mags drop free from the stock. Thanks and out
