The tan one was out of stock so I called AGP. Dan mentioned the last tan one is the display one and I managed to get it. Great product but even better customer service.

I received my folding stock kit and it did not have the butt pad screws, I contacted customer support told them my issue, they apologized for the inconvenience and a few days later boom they were in my mailbox! So nice to see a company that cares about their product, and their customers! 5 out 5 STARS AGP Team!

The kit is great I put it on my Ruger Charger, had no problems putting it on. Now the Charger is really fun to shoot. Thanks for a great product.

All-in-all I like the product but the front grip did not fit very well touching pretty firmly on one side had to sand it down for the price to fit I'm a little disappointed
Posted by Jon thompson on 8th Feb 2022
I like how light and compact it is. The colors don't match.. The stock is noticeably different from the foregrip.. Also the foregrip and folding stock don't line up.. looks tacky.. especially for the price.. I'll end up keeping it but will do the necessary work to at least make the the stock and foregrip line up if I can.. I appreciate the opportunity to give feed back..

Very pleased with the new look of my 10/22 takedown. Easy to install all the parts, fit and quality nice.

The fitment is good but the grip is uncomfortable as it hurts my thumb knuckle due to a sharp edge that digs into it and it's too slim, the fore grip could be more ergonomic. I would like to see a removable grip that accepts AR style grips and a longer fore grip with M-lok. Some sanding helped with the thumb issue but didn't completely fix it.

No issues, and happy with the fitment.

I have been searching for a kit like this for some time. Other kits I handled for the 1022 have been less satisfying. Now I want to shoot my 1022 more that it's dressed up.

Good product overall. Well constructed with good utility and features. If your running a bull-barrel expect to have to use a Dremel to do some relieving at the front to make room for the extra mass, because there will be some interference on the takedown part. Other then that, this is a good investment.

Very nice look and feel. Have yet to shoot it but it feels strong and light, fits perfectly. Install was easy, the hardest part was finding where I had srashed the hardware from the factory stock and v block since I had already put on an aftermarket stock (promag and stock, do not recommend).

Yes, this is a great stock. Well made, handsome, but not so (tacti-)cool as to be silly on a 10/22. Great upgrade & way more fun to shoot an already wonderful plinker.

Excellent, easy install no fitting required.

it fits fine and it looks good , it is what i hoped it would be and the price was great.

First class product, went together perfectly. People drool on the first one; ordered two more.

To whom it may concern....Good idea that could be great...The Butt pad was "rocking"with the screws..I used Goop(strong glue) to hold it down...My 1022 is recent..The receiver is squeezed into the folding stock...Difficult to get out when I want to clean it..The magazines did not drop out freely...I used my Dremel tool to widen the inlet of the mag area....I like the folding stock idea..I remove the barrel..fold the stock and fit them into my hiking bag...Its a good idea that could be great

First of all customer service is outstanding. The stock looks great and feels strong. The only con I can think of is the butt stock sits high. if you plan on using the iron sights good lucks squeezing your cheek against it. I'm upgrading the sights and intalling optics.

I had ordered a rubber shoulder pad and. There was no way for me to install it due to the top hole for the stock was huge compared to the bottom one. I really liked everything else but you guys took over 2 months and it still wasn’t all there. Sticking to magpul from now on.

Looks great and seems to be very good quality. Customer service was very helpful when I realized I had made a mistake and ordered the wrong part.

I received this folding stock in a timely manner and was immediately impressed with it's design and construction. The stock was very rigid when locked in position and the section that houses the receiver was a perfect match for my 10-22 which dropped into the stock like a glove, there was no flex in any part of the stock. I am amazed that this stock has not received more attention in the shooting industry as it is a unique solution for those who need a compact, light weight 22LR carbine!

I did a ton of research looking into stocks for the takedown 10/22 before deciding on this one, and I'm glad I did. The fit and finish of this stock is fantastic. It is a nice snug fit, and no manufacturing blemishes. The folding mechanism is solid. I noticed no wiggle in the stock unfolded. Built in QD attachments on the stock were a nice touch. Also, I managed to fit the rifle back in the bag with this stock after mounting my Vortex Crossfire II, not in the pouch, but still in the bag. I will not hesitate to suggest this stock to my friends.

Everything was a great and easy fit until it was time to screw on the Picatinny rails and butt pad. Both rails and the pad are loose to the point of ‘jiggling’ around, and I cannot get the screws any tighter by hand. Maybe I’ll need power tools, though I’m not a slouch with a screwdriver. Pretty annoying that they don’t fit tight and flush, or honestly even remotely close. Thinking about taking the “eff it” route and dabbing some superglue to hold them in place.

Super easy to set up and very well constructed. Took about 15 minutes to add it.

I wasn't expecting much for a $100. But am very happy with so far. Only been on my .22 charger for a few days but so far all good. I was looking for a .22 to keep in my hunting backpack to shoot varmits while hunting. And this folding stock on my ruger charger takedown is excatly what I needed. (Just make sure you get your SBR tax stamp if putting on charger.) Only issue im concerned with is it took 3 screws to get the original stock off, but this stock is held on with only one screw. But it is tight and feels good. I also took some pics but don't see how to submit them.

I wanted a 10 22 rifle that looked a bit different than everyone else's. This is FDE with a pistol grip without looking like a pseudo operator. I prefer pistol grip stocks, I just shoot them better. One drawback is the LOP is a bit short, I'm going to fabricate a 1 inch spacer to correct this. Great stock, no too expensive, makes a good looking rifle.

This is not some poor quality replacement. It is high quality and well molded. All smooth edges and finely finished. Very sturdy as well.

Love this stock on my takedown!

I purchased this kit for my Ruger 10/22 Takedown because I wanted to take advantage of the size and versatility of a folding stock in combination with the Takedown function.
My first impressions are overall good, however I have to mention a couple issues. The fitment is very close but not perfect. The locking mechanism rubs and might need some fabrication in order for the bolt to thread correctly. It's possible that others might not have this issue, given they are injection molded. It's just a very tight fit when conneting the barrel. Screws included in the picatinny rails and recoil pad are somewhat difficult to tighten. I used a hand drill but be careful with over torquing.
Overall the stock/forearm piece are well made. The folding function is solid and comfortable when extended and locked. The length of pull is perfect with the 1" recoil pad. The pad should be included in the kit not an option, I couldn't imagine using this platform without it. In addition AGP should include the Haris style swivel mount, $25 is overpriced. It would be nice to include the option for a picatinny rail on the bottom of the forearm piece.
Posted by Mike B. on 22nd Feb 2017
Overall I am satisfied with the stock. The only issues I have are that it seems unfinished. There is a lot of flash from the molding still surrounding the plastic and certain parts don't seem flush. The fore end needed to be sanded to fit the barrel properly and I wish there was an option for a fore end with no attachment holes for the optional pica-tinny rails.
I will most likely have to do a great deal more sanding and have the stock cerakoted to give a more finished look.

I was so happy when I received my stock, and it fit with no modifications. It is a quality fit, snug, defined, and intentional, very reasonably priced and a great design. I am very very happy with this purchase

This is a great stock! It is a thousand times better than using a cut down "BC" folding stock. Thank you AGP!

Quality product if you need a folding stock for 10/22. Installed in less than 5 minutes. 1 " butt pad is a must. Stock locking mechanism is plastic and entirely secure. Completely satisfied.

3.75 pounds. Perfection

This is the best folding stock on the market. The ones with metal stocks very solid but extremely heavy. Frankly anything that would break the AGP stock would break any of the others. I own 4 different types of folding stocks and this is my hands down favorite. The AGP 10/22 takedown stock is easy to intall and use. Definitely buy the longer rubber butt pad. However the shortness of the stock is not all bad. It allows me to stow both barrel and receiver (nestled in the AGP folding stock) inside my daily carry backpack (swiss gear). No one, I mean no one would know that I have a ruger 10/22 in my backpack that would take all of 4 seconds to pull out and put together. Once you get an AGP stock you will not go back. I am getting one for all my other 10/22s.

This is a nice quality replacement for the Ruger 10/22 take down stock, sturdy like the original. You can definitely feel the weight difference when you put it on.
The Stock itself is about 2" shorter than the standard stock that comes with the 10/22, so adding the 1" butt pad helps with the size. If you have arms like a T-Rex you're fine, but I felt the extra 1" really helped with the feel of it.
Overall really impressed by it.

Overall fit and finish are very good. The pistol grip makes fitting it into the factory Ruger storage bag very tight, had to remove any optics to get it to fit. If you intend to carry it in a generic backpack it will fit fine of course. The folding stock locks up tight. I also recommend the 1" butt pad to add some length of pull.

Only had for a week. Fit is excellent and very easy to install. Took it to the range and it seems to work very well. Really like folding capability. Do yourself a favor and get the 1" butt pad. Not needed for recoil but it adds a little length to it. Highly recommend.

I am small and the 10/22 fits me much better with the new AGP stock. Stock is very easy to install. Regretted not ordering the butt pad. Bought it several weeks later and am happy with it also.

Excellent stock on the 10/22 takedown. Slight decrease in weight, shorter length of pull, co.pact. stock locks up very sturdy. Excellent customer service

Lite weight, sturdy this stock is great!
Posted by undefined on 26th Jan 2014
Tight fit, single screw assembly (just like original 10/22), receiver drops into stock from top so adjustments to optics are NOT required! Great product!!!

I purchased a Ruger 10/22 takedown for my bug out bag, wile doing a Google search I came across AGP Arms, couldn't, order the their 10/22 takedown folding stock fast enough. It's an outstanding piece of kit, well made and drops right in (tight fit), I also ordered the 1/2" butt pad and it still comes in 1.5" shorter than the factory stock when open, but when folded this makes for a very compact and easy to store package. The stock has a removable QD sling mount and 4 areas on the stock to set up for ones preference, again outstanding kit….. get one.

fantastic product, fits well and makes it very easy for my wife to shoot the gun. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys shooting the 10/22
Posted by Mike Moran on 3rd Jan 2014
The stock fits the takedown model perfectly. No play and no sanding needed. It does need the 1 inch rubber recoil pad, however, so add that to the cost of the change out. Even with the pad, the rifle will be a couple of inches shorter than stock.

This stock provides a solution for the 10/22 TD by making it easier to place in the carrying bag with plenty of room to spare. Easy to assemble and the material quality is excellent for camping or hunting. Highly recommend this folding stock.

Super high quality, and light weight. Great tension on the folding pivot and a comfortable butt pad.
What more could you ask for?

Pros -
1.Good tight receiver fit.
2.Well dressed edges.
3.Nice shoulder stock lock-up
4.Well fit recoil pad.
5.Nice comb height for scope use.
6.Lighter than the factory stock.
Cons -
1.Shoulder stock should fold to the other side unless your left handed.
2.The gap between the AGP and the factory fore stock is a bit large but acceptable.
3.The comb is a bit high for iron sights

Was very pleased with it's size and quality. A but pad is needed for length of stock. I made a custom pad out of neoprene and works great. Would recommend this to all 10/22 owners.

I received my folding stock for the 10/22 takedown within a week of order. I needed to lightly sand in inside of the stock to fit the receiver and to allow the magazines to drop out. The 1 inch buttpad was a good addition! I very happy with the product and the seller!

This is a Great up grade for the 10/22 T/D, the fit was perfect, the quality is superb, it locks up nice and tight, I would definitely recommend this stock, and the shipping was super fast

easy to install( 1 screw) locks up tight, very compact!
Posted by brian at k.k.sales on 5th Feb 2013
Solid construction. I don't see the problem with a plastic "latch," as it's strong enough as it is and metal would just make it heavier in backpacking.
Being a stickler for detail, I used a dremel to smooth down "flash" from the molding of this stock in order to make it more smooth and perfect. Also, the plastic latch wouldn't snap into place smoothly, so a little polishing made this smooth as well.
This particular version is for the breakdown 10/22, I like this so much I'm going to do this for my other, original 10/22.
Thanks gang!

Easy to install. I was amazed how small the package was when it arrived. Very quick delivery. Rifle fits in factory bag ok with this stock. Pistol grip is nice.
Posted by Bill Spencer on 3rd Feb 2013
Excellent stock engineered for the 10/22 takedown. Perfect fit, quality finish, nothing to not like about this product. I slipped a hogue grip Handall over the pistol grip.
My only beef... When are you guys coming out w a matching forend for the takedown?
Posted by Jay In WA on 1st Feb 2013
Fit and finish are good. It's polymer, so minor seam lines, but no blems anywhere. Very easy to fire folded, and good cheek weld with stock open. Stock locks open, but has enough resistance to stay folded without a lock.
Very pleased with my purchase, fast shipping considering the craziness right now.

Just got my stock installed and this is sturdier than my Butler Creek folder. It locks up TIGHT, it is a great fit on the receiver and it's comfortable to use which is something the BC cannot claim.
More AGP for me and soon!!!
Posted by Hugh on 22nd Jan 2013
I got the stock and it fit almost perfectly. I had to fit it a little but it was nothing major and took about a minute with some sand paper.
Other than that the quality is great.
Posted by Caleb on 22nd Jan 2013
I have not had time to change out stocks yet but the AGP takedown stock is of very good quality and looks great.
Posted by DMR on 3rd Jan 2013
This is a great stock, and the only one I could find that is designed specifically for the Ruger 10/22 Take Down model. I do have a couple of suggestions though. As another reviewer noted, a metal release for the stock would be a great improvement, this would give the end user more confidence in the design. Also, it would be fantastic if the stock locked when folded. I don't like my rifle stock bouncing around when it's in transport mode or slung over my shoulder. Something simple here would be all that is needed, and would advance the design significantly.
Another note, unless you are a small child, or a very petite woman, you will want to add a Butt Pad.
Would I buy this product again? YES OF COURSE! I was considering doing a form 1 SBR on my rifle, now that I have a reliable folding stock, I'm going to go forward with the project. Thank you AGP!

It's very portable, lightweight, and very nearly the perfect pack-gun right out of the box. But there is room for improvememt. This stock fits the bill perfectly. The only improvement I would make is replacing the plastic locking tab with a metal one.
