AGP Arms Handguard for Ruger 10/22 Takedown®, 22 Charger, and Standard Rifle
This is AGP Arms' latest product designed specifically for the factory Ruger 10/22 Takedown®. Until now, you were required to keep your original handguard when using the AGP Arms folding stock kit. We now have a handguard that matches perfectly to the latest version of our folding stock kit.
The handguard section installs easily to the factory barrel with one screw. We offer a Quick Disconnect socket standard on the bottom front of the handguard to allow a sling or quick detach mount for accessories such as a bipod or foregrip. Additionally, we offer optional Picatinny Rail attachments for the handguard with seven slots to allow standard flashlight, red dot, and other accessories. We also offer it machined to accept Magpul's X-22 Optic Mount as an option.
If you have purchased one of our folding stock kits over the past two years, this will be a great addition to your already awesome takedown rifle. Or if you are interested in mounting accessories to your Ruger® Takedown and you are not interested in our folding stock kit, you can purchase this separately. This handguard was designed to work with the AGP stock so alignment may not be perfect with other stocks including the factory stock. See pictures showing this handguard with the factory stock.
We can machine this handguard to fit with factory bull barrel and the aftermarket .920 barrels on the market. Add the billet T block and mount this handguard to a standard non-takedown 10/22®.

HARRIS BIPOD MOUNT
This review is an update to my original review. I mentioned they should add a picatinny rail on the bottom for a bipod and support contacted me to tell me they sell a Harris style bipod mount. I ordered one from AGP Arms and then shopped on Amazon for a Harris bipod. I'm impressed at how strong it is. I prefer this style over having another rail on the forearm to keep the rail as small as possible. I'm very happy with the mount and recommend it if you want to mount a bipod on the forearm.

Needs a bottom rail
Ordered my folding stock with rails but rails were not delivered. After several calls, the rails were shipped within 3 days and an apology from customer service. A bottom rail or mount would make it easier to mount a bipod. If you buy the $25 QD swivel mount from AGP Arms, you still have to find a bipod that mounts to the swivel which narrows yours choices. Am overall very happy with the rail kit, it is well made and should last many years.

Slight millwork needed for factory Ruger takedown stock
Overall I am very pleased with the product. Solid and relatively light. Placed on a Tacsol SBX barrel for a shorter, lighter alternative to factory 16 in. Needed some mill grinding to make it flush with Ruger factory stock for a good lock up. Optional side rails add significant width and with inherent QD socket on bottom, I probably did not need.

Handguard for takedown
Super service. Handguard fits well but looks 'blocky' And is too heavy. Round off the front and lower the weight please. Have 3 kits made up and will probably buy another.

Solid Hand Guard
This is a solid and nice hand guard mates the folding stock perfectly. My only complaint is I had to go to a side mounting Bifold because I couldn't find a QD accessory mount. I wish they would of included a bottom rail or an accessory to mount a bifold. Other than its awesome

Great product...Better customer service
I just bought two of these along with the optional rail attachments. The fit and finish is consistence with the quality of the two stocks I have previously purchased. When the handguards arrived a set of rails were missing. I contacted AGP and three days later I received the other two rails. No questions, No excuses.... Just prompt delivery of the merchandise. As I stated earlier the product is the best available and the only thing better with AGP is the customer service that is provided. THANKS

AGP ARMS 10/22 HANDGUARD FOR RUGER TAKEDOWN
I purchased the folding stock for my 10/22 takedown some time ago and it is perfect for this gun. At the time the forearm was not available. Recently saw the ad for the forearm and ordered it. Couldn't be happier! Perfect fit and perfect match. I also ordered the rails to add additional versatility to my little package:) Great products, outstanding quality and priced right!!

Take Down: Your Old Handguard
You've seen the images, so you see the enhanced utility this part has over the stock Ruger 10/22 forend. This one nicely attaches rails, and the quick detach socket is ready to go. To me this is far preferable to a Ruger factory forend with a Promag rail barrel band (for example). What you can't know from just by looking, is how much tighter the overall lock up is of this handguard against the AGP folding stock, versus the Ruger factory forend: I know there are small variations across Ruger 10/22s (I've confirmed this swapping accessories with friends), but this piece really does fit rock solid on my 10/22 Takedown, tightly closing the gap between the barrel/forend and the receiver. This is recommended without reservation. Another good one from AGP.
