This kit include a new +20% extra power spring and a hardened steel locking plate. It holds an extra 3 rounds as requested by Brad S. on NABR. These are the only extensions for the XD45 and XDM45 and the new XD MOD.2 that have locking plates to keep them from popping off your mags. The springs are very high quality and are custom made to fit exactly like OE in the XD45acp mag body. This is a +3 extension that does not prevent the slide from locking open after the last round has been fired.
Magazine extension adds 22mm to the bottom of the factory magazine.

Springfield XD+ 3 mag extension
I’m giving 5 stars because thankful for the product as there aren’t really any others out there like it. Appreciate the extra long spring. My one caveat is that I had to do some very minor filing to the rear of the extension where it meets the rear of the mag to give it a slight bevel on the inside. As the follower was hitting the lip there in the transition from the magazine body into the extension. So it wouldn’t go past 14 rounds.

Mag extension
Well to be honest they don't fit right with the type of mag well extension I'm running. It's not allowing mag to lock in place. So I'm going to have to file the sharp edges at an angle. Nothing big but just a small inconvenience. The good is I love working on firearms and I know I will make it work just fine. I will also be adding a bit more weight to the very bottom. I fell they are a bit lit for my taste. For the price I will be getting more though. Thank you for make part for springfield xd.

Easy to install. Nice edition to my Springfield 45. Only wish they made one to hold 17 rounds.
