Description

This kit include a new +20% extra power spring and a hardened steel locking plate. It holds an extra 3 rounds as requested by Brad S. on NABR. These are the only extensions for the XD45 and XDM45 and the new XD MOD.2 that have locking plates to keep them from popping off your mags. The springs are very high quality and are custom made to fit exactly like OE in the XD45acp mag body. This is a +3 extension that does not prevent the slide from locking open after the last round has been fired.

Magazine extension adds 22mm to the bottom of the factory magazine.

    XD45 +3 Magazine Extension

Posted by Bill Starling on 2nd Oct 2026

I originally purchased some Springer Precision +3 extensions and came to AGP for the +20% magazine springs as the Springers were having trouble tripping the slide lock with factory springs. Saw the AGP extensions and thought I would try it out. The AGP +3 are the superior product in my opinion. Better price, better fit to the mag well and very user friendly to install. Will be replacing all my mag extensions for AGP extensions and springs.

Very simple to install, works well to give you great 16 round mags for the XDM .45

    Springfield XD+ 3 mag extension

I’m giving 5 stars because thankful for the product as there aren’t really any others out there like it. Appreciate the extra long spring. My one caveat is that I had to do some very minor filing to the rear of the extension where it meets the rear of the mag to give it a slight bevel on the inside. As the follower was hitting the lip there in the transition from the magazine body into the extension. So it wouldn’t go past 14 rounds.

I have 10 of these and they are awesome. I wish they made them for the xdm in 9mm. Highly recommended.
